Wanderlust
Nestled between the Kaunertal Glacier and the Kaunergrat Nature Park, it's hard to escape the love of the mountains at My Edelweiss. More than 250 km of hiking trails. We are happy to give hiking enthusiasts a tip or two along the way.
By mountain waters
Hiking and water, the perfect combination on hot summer days. You can follow the rushing water to lofty heights and the Seelesseen lakes, the Verborgener See or along the Mühlbachsteig trail. The Holderli Seppl via ferrata takes you on a spectacular route over thundering waterfalls. Not refreshed enough? Rafting tours are available on the Inn in Prutz. There is also a popular bathing lake in Ried.
Valley of the mountaineers
Rock climbing, via ferratas, Alpine tours and glacier crossings – Kaunertal is a vertical feast for the eyes. Safely roped in, the Kaunertal mountain guides take their guests on tours on request.
Cooling down in the glacial summer
Eternal ice, blossoming alpine roses, rare bearded vultures and the largest ibex colony in Austria – you will get closer to the power of nature than ever before at the back of Kaunertal, very close to the Gepatschferner.
E-biking & cycling
Alpine tranquility on two wheels. The 27-hairpin bends to the glacier restaurant at almost 3,000 meters are popular with racing cyclists. Great hut destinations are accessible along forest roads. There is no shortage of routes – many deserted – away from the main hiking trails. Perfect for e-bike tours; bikes are available directly at the hotel. More swashbuckling types may prefer a visit to the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis bike park close by.
Summercard and more
Included on arrival: Summercard Kaunertal Basic für free hiking buses & discounts.
The Summercard Gold, Bergfreiheit and Gletscherpark Card come with even more benefits.
